The
construction of the highest skyscraper in Pakistan’s largest city
Karachi was started in 2010 and it is scheduled to be finished in 2014:
with 260 m height and 62 floors it will be a new icon in Karachi’s
skyline. ArcelorMittal provides sections, decking – and their expertise
in steel construction!
Around 2000 tn of W sections and 72
000 sqm of decking will be supplied by ArcelorMittal for this iconic
skyscraper in Pakistan’s largest city.
A successful project that counted with the collaboration of our experts from different business divisions in order to achieve the best results: ArcelorMittal Distributions Solutions International, ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Europe, ArcelorMittal Construction France and the ArcelorMittal Distribution Solutions Design and Engineering office.
The Bahria Icon Tower is revolutionary in various aspects: in its scale, design and technology. A combination of visionary aesthetics and highest functionality, this mixed use high-rise building will symbolize modern life and engineering excellence.
Designed as an intelligent building, micro wind turbines and solar panels will generate at least a part of the energy the building will consume. Its façade will consist of titanium finish panels and glass and represent the region’s most technologically advanced structure.
